Tim Bete: Copywriter, marketing consultant, world record holder
Over the years I've held many high-level marketing positions. I was a vice-president at a midsize publishing company. While there, I managed the development of more than 2,000 communication pieces. For a few years, I managed all editorial activities of two national, award-winning magazines. I was the National Marketing Manager and e-Marketing Manager at the University of Dayton. And I've been the Fundraising Director at a small non-profit.
I've created hundreds of direct-marketing campaigns during my career. I’ve written copy, directed art and project-managed national direct-marketing promotions for IBM, World Book, Rayovac and General Mills. I've created fundraising letters, brochures and advertisements for a $150 million fundraising campaign. I've masterminded and implemented comprehensive fundraising strategies for non-profits who had no idea where to begin. I’ve even been quoted as a marketing expert in Interactive Public Relations, Web Content Report, PR News and 1-to-1 Direct, to name a few.
I’ve won more than a dozen national awards for communications excellence, including an Educational Press Association Editorial Achievement Award and a Gold Apple from the National Educational Film Festival. I've been a speaker at many conferences and workshops including the Phone/Mail 101, EDUCAUSE, Dayton Association of Fundraising Professionals, Cincinnati Fundraising Conference and the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. I've consulted with many non-profits, including a stint as chair of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati's Communication Advisory Board.
I'm as technologically savvy as you'll find. I'm always looking for new ways to use technology in direct marketing, whether it's an online application or using a digital press to personalize a print piece. And I'm an ace at integrating print and online campaigns.
As a freelancer, I'll jump through hoops for you. (Hoops are easy. When I was 10, I tried to jump a large hedge while riding on a toboggan. The hedge won.)
But what you really want to know is this: "Is Tim's work as good as he says it is and will he deliver what he promises?"
Yes and yes. You don't get as far as I have in this business by disappointing clients. What I want to do is make your life a lot easier by helping you meet your sales or fundraising goals
Contact me about your next project. You'll be glad you did.
